Best chicken sandwich, very tender and great flavor, worth the walk from Hollywood Boulevard

Came here for the first time on a whim and was super impressed with the awesome friendliness of the staff, and the Tenders with Fries were LEGIT. Would HIGHLY recommend if ever you're in the plaza!

My daughter and I searched on Yelp for the highest rated non-Korean chicken place around and Tennessee Hot Chicken (THC) popped up to the top of the list. Tennessee Hot Chicken has the friendliest Dad-Son team around. There are good vibes here as lots of regulars came in while we were dining and the owner had a friendly personal greeting for them all. For our meal, we each ordered the THC2 combo which included 3 fried chicken strips, a drink and fries and either coleslaw or a double order of fries. You chose the heat level for your chicken strips from Timid to Hot to Crazy (THC again!). We chose the Hot level and it was just right. Everything was cooked to order so it took a few minutes of waiting for our food but it spoke of the quality and care they take. I recommend THC for hot chicken fixes in WeHo, just be prepared to smile!

Great food! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and tended to. I chose the sliders which were simple but delicious, and very filling. I got a medium heat which wasn't that spicy, but I also deeply enjoy spicy food so it could be my own tolerance. Some tables needed wiping down, but there were only two people there working, obviously family owned, so they can't be everywhere at once. I really enjoyed this spot and would come back!

They gave me free water. Goat staff. Good people. Will come back! Great fries and chicken as well.

I came here with my aunt today and I would like to preface that while I would personally give this a 3, I recognize that the me not thoroughly enjoying the chicken just had to do with my taste buds so it's a 4 for me. The cashier was nice and helpful and the food came out quickly which was nice since it was very hot outside. I got the single slider, timid, with just fries. As someone who prefers a good crispy crispy tender I was not fond of the crumbly texture of the chicken but it was indeed moist! I think that others would greatly appreciate the taste if they enjoy aromatic savory dishes like birria but just fried chicken version. The fries and sauce were my personal favorite. A nice amount of seasoning and great balance of sweet and savory in the sauce.

I got delivery from their other location last week and then turned around the next day and came to this location. It's that good. No frills establishment so if you wanted to do take-out, you wouldn't necessarily be missing a dining experience. But maybe I'm an easily emotionally affected sissy-pants because it was really lovely to see a small business succeeding that's clearly run by a young family. This is definitely not a chain or a place owned by a phantom person who's never there. The whole family was working at the restaurant and it was clear they cared about their customers. I really love when I can get great food and also support a family owned business. Their sliders are amazing as are their fries. I want to try their Angel Bowl but I'm honestly having a hard time not getting the sliders every time! If you told me I had to eat this every week under pain of death, I wouldn't be mad at you.

TLDR: Unique twist to "Nashville" styled chicken, family run business with an owner that always has a smile on his face, and a spacious ambiance you can casually bring a group of friends to. Food is ready in about 10-15 min. the LATEST. This honestly has officially taken the cake as my favorite dry-rub "Nashville" styled chicken spot in LA! They got this crazy twist where they add a type of brown sugar i'm assuming, cinnamon and other things along with this slightly sweet sauce, that makes it a well rounded flavor experience! It's been good enough for me to come back twice in a single day for me to have it again. The other part I really enjoy about coming here is the owner and his family. Every time I see him, he greets people with a smile on their face and makes sure everyone leaves out with a great experience. Parking can be a pain because the lanes are tight, but besides that I can't find much wrong at all.

Tennessee Hot Chicken has the BEST hot chicken sandwiches! My boyfriend ordered the THC 1 (spice level: timid) and I ordered the THC 4 (spice level: hot). The chicken was perfectly seasoned and extra crispy, and the Hawaiian bun was slightly toasted and sweet. The chicken wasn't as spicy as we expected it to be. Both the chicken and the Hawaiian bun paired well together, and the toppings made the experience even better. We ordered honey on the side to drizzle over our fries and sandwiches and it was a game changer. We went around closing time, so there weren't as many people seated inside of THC. The service was great and the food was delicious. We will definitely come back to visit again!
